Eileen Gerle, park ranger, conducted an informational talk and walk on West Meadow Peninsula, an area that is part of the Harbor Hills moraine, bordered by the Nissequogue and Crane’s Neck Bluffs. She pointed out the flora and fauna unique to this area that was first described in the 1660s and established as a beach in 1908.
